Shamsul Haque is a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and a former member of parliament for Chandpur-2.

Haque was born on 1 September 1931 in Matlab Uttar Upazila, Chandpur District, Bengal Presidency, British India (now Bangladesh).

Squadron Leader was posted in PAF Base, Dhaka.

After the crackdown he escaped from there and joined the liberation War of Bangladesh.

In September 1971 when Army Medical Crops was founded he was appointed as the first Director General of Directorate General of Medical Services.
