Shire of Tambo (Victoria)

The Shire of Tambo was a local government area about 320 kilometres (199 mi) east of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia.

The shire covered an area of 3,506.86 square kilometres (1,354.0 sq mi), and existed from 1882 until 1994.

On 30 May 1892, it lost three-quarters of its land area when the Shire of Orbost was incorporated.

A small amount was re-annexed as Cunninghame Riding on 3 January 1913.
