South Riyadh Stadium (Arabic: ملعب جنوب الرياض, romanized: maleab janub alriyad) is a planned multi-purpose stadium located in south-west Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, connected to the Wadi Namar.
[1][2] It is set to be a venue for the 2034 FIFA World Cup and has a proposed capacity of 47,060 people, where it will host fixtures in the group stage and round of 32.
The design incorporates drought-resistant plants to reduce water usage and adapt to the arid climate.
Rainwater harvesting systems are used for water management, while integrated solar panels provide energy.
[1] Following the World Cup, the venue will serve as the home of a professional football club of the Saudi Pro League and host major sporting and entertainment events.
