The 2016 census determined a population of 223 for the state suburb of Squeaking Point.
It was given to the area because of the noise made by some pigs that escaped from a ship.
[2] The official name was changed from “Moriarty” to Squeaking Point in 1948, and the locality was gazetted in 1967.
[3] The waters of the Rubicon Estuary form the eastern boundary.
[4] The C708 route (Woodbury Lane / Parkers Ford Road) runs through the locality from south to west.
