St Mary's Church, Cannington

The parish is in the Church of England Diocese of Bath and Wells.

[2] The nave was built between 1375 and 1400, however the tower remains from the previous church.

In 1685, it was held by Elizabeth, Baroness Clifford, later by Oxford University, and eventually by the Bishop of Bath and Wells.

[4] It was previously connected to Cannington Court and is postulated as the former church of a house of Benedictine Nuns.

[3] The parish is part of the benefice of Cannington, Otterhampton, Combwich and Stockland within the Quantock deanery.
