Steve Elliott (footballer, born 1978)

Steven William Elliott (born 29 October 1978) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender.

Born in Derby, Derbyshire, Elliott came through the ranks at Pride Park and made his first team debut in the League Cup in September 1997.

After making his move permanent, Elliott made 28 appearances for Blackpool including the victorious 2004 Football League Trophy Final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

[8] His second season with the club saw Elliott again play at a Wembley Stadium play-off final as Cheltenham lost out to Crewe Alexandra.

[11] Elliott signed for Conference South side Bath City[12] but returned to Cheltenham days later to assist caretaker manager Russell Milton[13] who had replaced the outgoing Buckle.
