Stony Brook (Mehoopany Creek tributary)

Stony Brook is a tributary of Mehoopany Creek in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, in the United States.

Logging was done in the upper reaches of the watershed of Stony Brook in the early 1900s.

Further downstream, it bends south and then southwest before it reaches its confluence with Mehoopany Creek.

[1] Stony Brook joins Mehoopany Creek 12.20 miles (19.63 km) upstream of its mouth.

Between 1911 and 1916, between 30,000 and 40,000 feet (9,100 and 12,200 m) of wood per day were logged at the headwaters of the brook and at Crane Swamp.
