Strathyre railway station

This station opened on 1 June 1870 along with the first section of the Callander and Oban Railway, between Callander and Glenoglehead (originally named 'Killin').

[2] The station was laid out with two platforms, one on either side of a crossing loop.

Final closure came on 27 September 1965 following a landslide in Glen Ogle.

[citation needed] Strathyre signal box, which replaced the original box on 13 May 1890, was located on the Up platform, on the east side of the railway.
