Tasmanophilus opinatus is a species of centipede in the Zelanophilidae family.
[1][2] The original description of this species is based on two damaged syntypes missing their posterior ends.
[3] A description of another specimen reports a deep orange-yellow color, a length of 54 mm, and 69 pairs of legs.
[4] The species occurs in south-eastern Australia, in Victoria and Tasmania.
[5] The centipedes are solitary terrestrial predators that inhabit plant litter, soil and rotting wood.
