Todung Mulya Lubis

(born 4 July 1949 in Muara Botung, Kotanopan, Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra) is a lawyer and activist in Indonesia.

After completing his studies in high school, Lubis became interested in the legal world.

From 1980–1983, he was director of Indonesia's dissident NGO, the Jakarta Legal Aid Foundation (LBH).

Protesting against the construction of the amusement park Taman Mini Indonesia, he argued that the support of teachers and other improvements in public service should have priority.

[citation needed] In 1974, before finishing law school at the University of Indonesia, Lubis interned at the Jakarta Legal Aid Foundation, where he would later become director of litigation.
