[1][2][3] Amfikleia (formerly Dadi), occupies a strategic location on the northern slopes of Mount Parnassus and south of the Boeotic Cephissus.
[2] The tower is located on the site of the acropolis of ancient Amphicleia, which today is occupied by the cemetery of the modern settlement.
[3] The walls are 1.8 metres (5.9 ft) thick at its base, and thin about 20 centimetres (7.9 in) at each of the two surviving above-ground floors.
[1] The first floor is supported by ledges offset from the north and south walls, extending from the ground to about 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) in height.
[3] The entrance was 3 metres (9.8 ft) above ground, at the level of the first floor, on the southern face of the tower near its eastern corner.
