Vaishakha

In the Hindu solar calendar, Vaisakha begins in mid-April in Bengal, Mithila, Nepal, and Punjab.

The name of the month is derived from the position of the Moon near the Vishākhā constellation ("Nakshatra") on the full-moon day.
