Vanja Zvekanov (born 25 May 2000) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Hungarian club Mezőkövesd.
[1] He continued the family tradition and started playing football at the age of four in FK Palić,[2] where his father Zlatko was the coach.
Then he moved to Spartak, where he was the captain of the cadets and a member of the Serbia national youth team.
In March 2018, he signed a contract for Genoa C.F.C., which he chose instead of another Italian team, Parma Calcio 1913.
[3] In Italy, he was called the "new Matić", and then he suffered an injury that prevented him from playing in Serie A, what was the plan of coach Davide Ballardini.
