Victoria General Hospital (VGH) is an acute care facility located in View Royal, British Columbia, Canada, a western suburb of Victoria.
VGH provides emergency, general surgery and medical treatment services.
VGH is the only one of the two hospitals which provides maternity services.
[2] It is also a teaching hospital for UBC's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
St. Joseph's Hospital was founded in 1875,[4] and taken over from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria by the provincial government in 1972.
