Wakapau River

The Wakapau River is a tributary of the west bank of the Pomeroon River[1] in Guyana.

7°36′N 58°45′W / 7.600°N 58.750°W / 7.600; -58.750River boats are common mode of transportation throughout the area.

The Wakapau has been interest for kayaking enthusiasts, both in producing competitive athletes as well as potential for development for tourism.
