Waterside, Derry

The Waterside (Ulster-Scots: Wattèrbroo,[1] Irish: Taobh an Uisce[2]) generally refers to the part of Derry on the east bank of the River Foyle.

Traditionally, the Waterside ends at the Caw roundabout near the Foyle Bridge.

Areas such as Eglinton and Limavady are not part of the Waterside.

[3] The Waterside contains the city's main hospital, Altnagelvin, as well as St. Columb's Park and the former Ebrington Military Barracks.
