West Alto Bonito is a census-designated place (CDP) in Starr County, Texas, United States.

There were 153 housing units at an average density of 1,261.9 per square mile (487.2/km2).

The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.25% White, 2.64% Pacific Islander, 2.11% from other races.

West Alto Bonito is served by the Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District (formerly Rio Grande City Consolidated Independent School District)[22]
