[2] West Providence Township is located in eastern Bedford County.

The unincorporated community of Earlston, adjacent to Everett, is part of the township.

[3] The Raystown Branch of the Juniata River takes a sinuous path from west to east, then north through the township.

[4][5][6] As of the census[8] of 2000, there were 3,323 people, 1,339 households, and 1,027 families residing in the township.

20.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
