Yan Ganhui

After resuming the college entrance examination, in 1978, he was admitted to Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, majoring in statistics.

In April 2016, he took office as mayor of Shangrao,[1] he remained in that position until June 2017, when he was transferred to Yichun again and appointed party secretary.

[2][3] On 8 June 2020, he was put under investigation for alleged "serious violations of discipline and laws" by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the party's internal disciplinary body, and the National Supervisory Commission, the highest anti-corruption agency of China.

[5] On March 26, he stood trial at the Intermediate People's Court of Xinyu on charges of taking bribes.

[6] According to the indictment, he allegedly took advantage of his positions to seek benefits for others in business restructuring, project contracting and personnel promotions between 2007 and 2020.
