In 1988, Boland moved to London where she worked as a freelance writer for magazines including New Woman, Elle and Smash Hits, as well as the Daily Mirror and Evening Standard newspapers.
As a freelance journalist, Boland interviewed Jonathan Cainer saying "after discovering my love of astrology - he let me do some writing on his site".
[3] In 2002 This heralded the start of a new career direction for Boland and lead to multiple horoscope columns and features in newspapers, magazines and websites around the world.
For the next twelve years, she focused on horoscopes, inluding in the US's TV Guide[9] and WeTV, the UK's Daily Mail[10] and Red[11] magazine, and Australia's Take 5,[12] Who[13] and Yahoo.
[14] Having written Cosmic Love in 2001, Boland returned to writing books in 2014, publishing Angel Astrology 101[15] with Doreen Virtue.
