Zhu Jianghong

[2] Zhu was born in Zhongshan County, Guangdong, in November 1945, during the Chinese Civil War, while his ancestral home in Xinhui District of Jiangmen, Guangdong.

[3] In 1970, he graduated from South China University of Technology, where he majored in machinery.

[4] After university, he was assigned to Baise Mining Machinery Factory (百色矿山机械厂) in Guangxi.

[6] In April 2001 he became chairman of the board of Gree Electric, and held that office until May 2012.

In 1999 he was proposed as vice president of the China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA).
