Aetomilitsa

Aetomilitsa (Greek: Αετομηλίτσα, before 1927: Δέντσικο - Dentsiko,[2] Aromanian: Densko, Denicko, Denisco) is a village in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece.

[1] The community of Aetomilitsa covers an area of 51.297 square kilometres (19.806 sq mi).

Aetomilitsa experiences cold winters with high precipitation and warm, drier summers.

Aetomilitsa is today inhabited mainly by Aromanians[citation needed] (Vlachs) who are Greek Orthodox Christians.

For a time during the Greek Civil War (1946-1949), Aetomilitsa was the seat of the communist rebels, the so-called "Provisional Democratic Government".
