Alabama's 5th Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Alabama Senate.

The district is currently vacant, as the incumbent Republican Greg Reed resigned in December 2024.

The district covers the entirety of Fayette, Lamar, and Walker counties, as well as portions of Jefferson and Tuscaloosa counties.
