Chamaca (Quechua: Chamaqa; Aymara: Ch'amaka, meaning, dark or darkness) is one of eight districts of the Chumbivilcas Province in Peru.
[1] One of the highest peaks of the district is Qala Qala at approximately 4,400 m (14,400 ft).

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (93.64%) learnt to speak in childhood, 6.12% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
