Enrico Mosconi

[1] He did his university studies in Italy, and arrived in Buenos Aires about 1869, for work related to construction of the Central Argentine Railway.

He was the owner of the Enrique Mosconi y Cía, a steam tram company that operated in Rosario towards the end of the 19th century.

He and his wife made several trips to southern European cities, including Milan, Italy, where his daughter Ernestina was born.

[14] In 1888 Enrico Mosconi acquired land in the town Los Algarrobos (San Martín Department), belonging to Agustín Hamilton Johnston, born in Newcastle.

Mosconi suggested the change of the denomination of the town in honor of his friend Carlos Pellegrini,[15] whose mother Mary Bevans Brigh was originally from London, England.
