He served as Legislator of the City of Buenos Aires, elected in 2007, replacing Peña and again in 2009, was head of the Republican Proposal block since 2011, and then President of the City of Buenos Aires Tourism Authority, assuming in the position on 11 December 2013.
[1] In this capacity, he managed the relations of the presidency with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and the Fútbol para todos program established by Cristina Kirchner, of state-sponsored broadcasting of soccer matches.
De Andreis criticized the high expense of the Fútbol para todos program for the state, the lack of a system of checks and balances in the soccer institutions, and the political meddling of the previous administration into the soccer affairs.
