Freienwil

Freienwil is a municipality in the district of Baden in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.

The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Azure a Garb Or in base sinister a Sickle Argent handled of the second.

[4] The age distribution, as of 2008[update], in Freienwil is; 109 children or 12.4% of the population are between 0 and 9 years old and 112 teenagers or 12.7% are between 10 and 19.

[10] In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the SVP which received 29.8% of the vote.

The village is served by the once-an-hour postbus (every 30 minutes at peak) operating on the Baden–Endingen–Tegerfelden route.

The local economy is limited to a number of jobs in agriculture, in trade and within the service range.

[11] From the 2000 census[update], 415 or 55.1% are Roman Catholic, while 206 or 27.4% belonged to the Swiss Reformed Church.
