Greatheart Mesa

Greatheart Mesa is a 7,405 ft (2,257 m) summit in Washington County, Utah, United States.

Greatheart Mesa is located 8.5 miles (13.7 km) north of Springdale, Utah, in Zion National Park.

The mesa is composed of white Navajo Sandstone with a ponderosa pine forest covering the top.

[5] Precipitation runoff from this mountain drains into North Creek which is a tributary of the Virgin River.

This desert climate receives less than 10 inches (250 millimeters) of annual rainfall, and snowfall is generally light during the winter.
