After many partitions, Greenwood Township has been reduced to its current boundaries.

The racial makeup of the township was 99.60% White, 0.10% African American, and 0.30% from two or more races.

There were 381 households, out of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.0% were married couples living together, 4.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.3% were non-families.

18.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
