Haywood Mall

The mall is the largest in the state, with 1,237,411 square feet (114,959.2 m2) of retail space.

The super-regional mall opened in 1980 at the intersection of Haywood Road and I-385/Golden Strip Freeway.

[1] The fourth anchor would be Belk-Simpson, who, similar to Sears and J. C. Penney, would relocate from a pre-existing store in downtown Greenville.

[2] In August 1979, Meyers-Arnold would also announce that they would be building a 20,000 square foot store at Haywood Mall, near the Sears.

However, Uptons would be short-lived, closing the Haywood Mall location on April 2, 1988.
