Royal Prussian Jagdstaffel 43, commonly abbreviated to Jasta 43, was a "hunting group" (i.e., fighter squadron) of the Luftstreitkräfte, the air arm of the Imperial German Army during World War I.
The unit would score over 35 aerial victories during the war, including two observation balloons downed.
[1] Jasta 43 was founded on 6 December 1917 at Flieger-Abteilung (Flier Detachment) 4 at Posen.
The squadron began flying combat sorties on 23 January 1918.
