Joseph Maria Pernicone (November 4, 1903 – February 11, 1985) was an Italian-born clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church.
[4] After his 1926 ordination, the archdiocese assigned Pernicone as curate at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Yonkers.
[1] Several years later, Pernicone traveled to Washington, D.C. to study canon law as the Catholic University of America (CUA).
During this period, Pernicone served as master of ceremonies at a 1937 requiem mass for Guglielmo Marconi, the inventor of wireless telegraphy, in 1937.
[4] During his tenure as an auxiliary bishop, Pernicone also served as pastor of Holy Trinity Parish in Poughkeepsie and episcopal vicar of Dutchess and Putnam Counties in New York State.
