KYOS

KYOS airs a talk radio format on weekdays and plays oldies music on weekends.

The transmitter is on North Coffee Street in Merced, near California State Route 140 (Central Yosemite Highway).

On weekends, the station mostly plays oldies music, including a Sunday morning replay of "American Top 40 with Casey Kasem" from the 1970s and 80s.

In the 1980s, listeners increasingly switched to FM for music, so WYOS added talk shows to its evening schedule.

During its early years as a talk station, WYOS carried The Rush Limbaugh Show in late mornings.
