Kauhajoki Baptist Church

The current congregation building is located in the Kainasto village, about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) northwest of the town centre.

In the fall of 1949, a joint brotherhood meeting of Baptists and Pentecostals was organized in Kauhajoki.

Lehtonen donated an estate of land to the congregation in the village of Kainasto, and construction of the chapel began.

Kauhajoki's new chapel was a joint project of Lehtonen and Eero Lehtikevari.
