Lapeer, New York

Lapeer is a town in Cortland County, New York, United States.

Lapeer is a dry town,[5] meaning the consumption and possession of alcohol within the boundaries of the community is prohibited.

The Stage Coach Inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Tioughnioga River, Interstate 81, and U.S. Route 11 all pass across the northeastern corner of Lapeer.

The eastern half of the town drains east and south to the Tioughnioga River, while the western half drains west and south to the East Branch of Owego Creek.

The racial makeup of the town was 98.25% White, 0.29% Native American, 0.44% Asian, and 1.02% from two or more races.
