Lithuanian broadcaster LRT announced their participation for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in August 2010.
The National Final, "Vaikų Eurovizija" chose Bartas, the 14‑year-old singer to represent Lithuania in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010.
The results of the semi-finals were determined by a 50/50 combination of votes from a jury panel and public televoting.
10 songs competed and 7 qualified to the next round instead of the initially-planned 5 due to a three-way tie for fifth place.
