Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Song of the Year

The Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Song of the Year is an honor presented annually by American television network Univision at the Lo Nuestro Awards.

The accolade was established to recognize the most talented performers of Latin music.

[1] The nominees and winners were originally selected by a voting poll conducted among program directors of Spanish-language radio stations in the United States and also based on chart performance on Billboard Latin music charts.

Panamanian rapper Flex's "Te Quiero", won the Lo Nuestro and the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Song.

[4][5] "Lovumba" by Daddy Yankee, "Taboo" by Don Omar, "Te Quiero" by Flex, "El Amor" by Tito El Bambino, and "Llamé Pa' Verte" by Wisin & Yandel, won the Lo Nuestro and reached number-one in the Billboard Latin Songs chart.
