Mahbub Talukdar (13 February 1942 – 24 August 2022)[1][2] was a Bangladeshi poet, writer, civil servant, and one of the Election Commissioners of Bangladesh.
[6] Talukdar was born on 13 February 1942 at Purbadhala Upazila in Netrokona District of the then British Raj.
[3] Talukdar started his career as teacher at University of Chittagong where he taught Bengali language and literature from 1968 to 1970.
On 24 January 1972, Talukdar was appointed the special officer for President Abu Sayeed Chowdhury.
[7] He was the assistant press secretary and speech writer during the presidency of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
