Marangani District

[1] The La Raya mountain range traverses the district.

Some of the highest mountains are listed below:[2] The most important river of the district is the Willkanuta which crosses the district from southeast to northwest.

[3] The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent.

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (80.81%) learnt to speak in childhood, 18.82% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
