Established way back in pre-independent era (in 4 July 1945), this college has taken a pioneering role in shaping and promoting higher education in the entire lower Brahmaputra valley.

Nalbari College is a multi-streamed co-educational institution imparting education right from Higher Secondary to PG level.

Being aware of the issue of employability of its pass outs, the college offered two UGC sponsored job-oriented programmes like Travel and Tourism Guidance and Disaster Management.

Therefore, in coming years the college is prospecting to introduce more and more such programmes which would provide employment opportunity to the students.
