Notably the Noosa Tigers Australian Football Club (founded 1970) compete in the Queensland Australian Football League (QAFL) competition, the state's premier semi-professional level and also fields women's and junior sides.
The club has been elevated from amateur leagues and the Noosa Oval is receiving a major upgrade for Australian rules and cricket in 2024.
