Polonne Raion

The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Khmelnytskyi Oblast to three.

This was a small raion, it occupied 15th place among the districts of the region (866 km² corresponds to 4,2% of the total area of Khmelnytskyi Oblast).

The Sluch, Homora, Derevychka, Smilka and other rivers flowed through the district.

At the time of disestablishment, the raion consisted of two hromadas:[4] From 1923 to 1932 the district was part of Shepetivka region, then from 1932 to 1937 it was part of Vinnytsia Oblast.

Finally Polonne Raion was formed December 8, 1966.
