Pomacanchi District is one of seven districts of the Acomayo Province in Peru.
[1] One of the highest peaks of the district is Puka Kancha at 4,400 m (14,400 ft).

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (89.89%) learnt to speak in childhood, 9.94% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
