[4] Rome Township is located in the southeastern part of Crawford County in the Northwestern Glaciated Plateau of Pennsylvania.

The highest elevation is 1,790 ft (550 m) is located near Buells Corners, Pennsylvania.

17.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
