Conneaut Creek, a tributary of Lake Erie, flows from south to north through the western side of the township.

The Rundell Cemetery, a remnant of the hamlet of Rundell, also known as Rundelltown, with its post office named Rundell's,[5] is located east of the bend of Rundelltown Road beside Rundelltown Creek, off King Road.

[4] As of the census[7] of 2000, there were 1,571 people, 577 households, and 443 families residing in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 98.15% White, 0.38% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.13% from other races, and 0.95% from two or more races.

18.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
