Stellatoma rufostrigata

Mangilia rufostrigata Schepman, 1913 (original combination) Stellatoma rufostrigata is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Mangeliidae.

They show rather strong, rounded, oblique, axial ribs (11 on the body whorl), those behind the peristome stronger.

On this latter the ribs are fainter towards the base, otherwise the shell is nearly smooth, but for very faint, remote spirals, a little more conspicuous on the siphonal canal, and fine growth lines.

The aperture is oval, angular above, with a wide, short siphonal canal below.

The columellar margin is concave, slightly directed to the left below, with a rather thin layer of enamel, stronger near its base.
