Fossils of species within this genus have been found in Europe, Canada, China, Colombia (Coquina Group, La Guajira), Pakistan, Paua New Guinea, Thailand, Japan, Somalia, Nigeria, Iran, Tanzania, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Madagascar, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Chile.
