Sulfafurazole

Sulfafurazole (INN, also known as sulfisoxazole) is a sulfonamide antibacterial with a dimethyl-isoxazole substituent.

It possesses antibiotic activity against a wide range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive organisms.

It is used locally in a 4% solution or ointment.
