The city of Brownton, a separate municipality, is surrounded by the southwest part of the township.

Glencoe, the county seat, is 8 miles (13 km) east of the center of the township, while Hutchinson, the largest city in the county, is 12 miles (19 km) to the north.

Buffalo Creek, a tributary of the South Fork, crosses the southern part of the township from west to east.

14.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

None of the families and 0.4% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 64.
