Tierra Bonita is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cameron County, Texas, United States.

Tierra Bonita is located in northwestern Cameron County at 26°16′2″N 97°49′23″W / 26.26722°N 97.82306°W / 26.26722; -97.82306 (26.267226, -97.823184),[3] on the northern border of the town of Santa Rosa.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.91 square miles (2.35 km2), all land.

About 23.1% of families and 27.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 46.3% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those 65 or over.

Tierra Bonita is served by the Santa Rosa Independent School District.
